Lee D'warte
Lee D`warte has over 37 Years in the Protective Coatings Industry.
Lee Started his Career with Rigblast in 1981 before moving onto Salamis 1985 Starting With Willkie Hooke in 1988 where he worked on Various Projects, MOD, Hydro-Board, Pertrochemical, Forth Road Bridge before becoming the Yard Manager at the Head office in Bo`ness.
In 2000 Lee Started working for Central Blasting & Painting where he was a Director.
In 2009 Lee left CBP and became a Share holder / Director of Forfar Industrial Coatings where he Formed a new Company in Bo`Ness FI Coatings Ltd in June 2010.
The Company opened for business in August 2010. Since then we have provided a wide range of blasting and painting services to major companies in the Oil, Gas and construction industries. Building a reputation for quality work carried out on time meeting the needs of the client.
While expanding the business, we have not neglected our 25 plus staff whose expertise in the painting and blasting industry is comprised of over 120 years of experience and who receive continual ongoing training.
To ensure our commitment to quality we employ a full time dedicated paint inspector (ICORR Level 3) to ensure that we keep up the level of quality our clients expect from us.
We have also committed time and resource to achieve and maintain ISO 9001 accreditation since 2010 and have achieved ISO 14001 Accreditation in 2016 in the same year we have also become a member of the Safe Contractor scheme and are licenced by SEPA.
Through these accreditations, and ongoing monitoring we are demonstrating our commitment to Quality of service, the Environment and Health and Safety of our staff and clients.
Kieron Mcbride
Kieron McBride has over 40 Years’ experience in the Protective Coatings Industry.
Firstly, starting his career within the shipyards as a trainee maintenance painter for 3 years and progressing to TK Valves Ltd, a specialist Valve and pipeline Equipment Manufacturer for the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Industries, spent 13 years Abrasive Blast Cleaning and Spray Painting eventually moving into Quality Control Inspection and Quality Assurance.
In 1988, Kieron Joined Wilkie Hooke Ltd, where he worked on Various Projects, KG Ethylene, MOD, Hydro Board, Petrochemical, Forth Road and Rail Bridges and the Yard Facility based in Bo’ness.
Kieron has progressed his Inspection Career to ICorr Level 3 and has worked independently for various Clients throughout the UK, e.g. BP, Shell, Exxon Mobil, MOD, Network Rail, Highways, Marine and Off-Shore and has also worked for Various Paint Manufacturing Companies with the European Sector.
Kieron Joined FI Coatings in 2013 to further maintain and expand on Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Standards and Procedures.
Now, with the introduction of FIC Training. Our development within this sector will strengthen our resolve to produce quality workmanship at all levels and provide to our clients a comfort that efforts are being made to further enhance the quality and safety of our personnel and industry.
